They are crunchy, delicate and delicious, and now you can make famous Spanish chef Dani García’s Iberian ham croquettes yourself!
You might think that they are difficult to make but these ham croquettes are actually relatively easy when you follow Garcia’s recipe.
We really recommend you watch his video below even if it is in Spanish – although you have all the translation options for the subtitles – as he gives very clear and simple directions. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
700ml milk
200g finely diced Iberian ham
300ml chicken broth
50 g butter
110 grams flour
2 hard-boiled eggs, finely chopped
breadcrumbs
Preparation:
Add the butter, ham and flour to the pan. Stir well on medium high heat for about 8 then pour the broth, continue stirring everything while adding the milk little by little. 25 Minutes after stirring the whole mixture, taste and season with salt then place the mixture in a buttered container. Now add the hard-boiled egg to the mixture off the heat, rub butter on top. Let the dough cool in the refrigerator then shape the croquettes and dip them in the egg and cover in breadcrumbs. Place them in the refrigerator for a few minutes before frying them in the hot oil until they are evenly browned.
